One of the most important contemporary Arab translators, he is a Syrian translator, born in the Syrian city of Aleppo, and resides in the United States of America. His intellectual production is rich in more than 50 translated works, most of which are novels from the creations of world literature, in addition to some contributions, studies and short stories that have been published on many From websites, he also worked as a translator and reviewer in the Arabic Translation Department at the United Nations in New York.

 

His growing passion for the English language led him to enroll in the Faculty of Arts, Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Aleppo, and the first work he translated into Arabic was the novel (Animal Farm) by the British writer “George Orwell” when he was a sophomore in college.

 

He was the first to introduce the Arab reader to the Turkish writer "Elif Shafak", when he first translated her novel (The Bastard of Istanbul) and then her novel (The Forty Rules of Love), which received wide popularity and great interest, as it was translated into more than 30 languages.

He has translated about 60 works between novels, stories, and others.
